Skydance Paramount Will Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance plans to start mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are likely, as the firm aiming to announce full details during its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports suggested the firm was looking to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.

As of December 2024, Paramount retained almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented regarding the report.
